Suuq Somali is operated by Dage Digitals Portal (Licence No. 1632400). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website.

We collect: (a) details you submit through forms — such as your name, email, phone number, and message when you contact us, add a business, or claim a listing; (b) business listing information you provide; and (c) anonymous usage data — such as page views and button clicks (WhatsApp, call, directions, website), along with approximate location (city or country) derived from your IP address at the network edge. We do not collect precise location or store full IP addresses.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to operate and improve the directory; publish and manage business listings and reviews; respond to your enquiries; verify ownership claims; produce anonymous, aggregated statistics for business owners and admins; and keep the Platform secure.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use a single anonymous session identifier (stored in a cookie) to count unique views and prevent inflated click counts. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use privacy-friendly analytics provided by our hosting platform.
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Platform — for example our database and authentication provider (Supabase), our hosting provider (Vercel), and our email provider (Resend) — and where required by law. Information you choose to publish in a business listing is, by its nature, public.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may ask us to update or delete your information at any time, subject to any legal obligations to retain it.
